Blaze a Trail Here, Here, Here, Here & Here

Top 5 Places to Blaze a Trail after National Trails Day and National Get Outdoors Day & Why

(In no particular order, I love all my children trails equally.)HikeLogo-175

Cincinnati Nature Center – Awesome nature center, incredible naturalists, fantastic well marked trails and the Hike for Your Health Challenge.

Cox Arboretum – Incredible gardens for plenty of ideas, a butterfly house, wetland, oh and an enormous tree tower for those who aren’t afraid of heights.

Germantown MetroPark – Great trails and wonderful nature center. Trails can be combined for long hikes and also combined with the Twin Valley Trail for a backpacking experiences. Good for those newbie backpackers!

The Wilderness Trail and Buzzardroost Rock Trail – Located in Adams County and virtually right next door to each other, these two trails are a great escape and offer plenty of spectacular views. (I counted this as one hike since they are so close to each other.)

Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge – Birds! Birds! Birds! Did I mention birds? The trails are fun and relatively easy to navigate and there are plenty of opportunities to see birds and other wildlife.

Quiet Trails – If you really need some peace and quiet, head to Quiet Trails for a peaceful afternoon.
