Since Easter is coming up, I’m hoping you can help me get out the message to NOT buy a bunny or a chick for an Easter present.
Rabbits are great pets but they are a 10 year commitment and chicks grow-up and need room to be a chicken or a duck.
If you really want a pet, then head over to my friends at the League for Animal Welfare and see the many great animals available for adoption. Just make sure you are up for the commitment!
If your child is really set on getting a bunny or a chick then have your child join 4-H club to learn how to properly care for a rabbit or a chicken.
